6 months after delivery can a woman take any tablet for cold or fever without consulting doctor? e.g Tablet name: coldact, or calpol, dart
  • By Team TDO

As long as you are breastfeeding the baby, it is essential you take medication only with a doctor's prescription. Certain drugs can pass through the breast milk and affect the baby. Drugs like coldact and dart are to be avoided by the breastfeeding mothers. Drug calpol, even though it can pass through breast milk, it does not have known side effects on the baby.
