My wife is pregnant and in the 7th month scan report – it’s observed that my baby’s left kidney has some problem – hydronephrosis. Mild to Moderate. I have read related articles and found that ? For Mild – Doctors will do the scan post the birth and keep regular tab of the issue. Wherein the chances of reduction is there in normal course of life with / without medication. ? For Moderate – Post observing for few months, doctors will take a call that if the issue can be cured with medication or with Surgery. ? For Sever – Surgery is needed However, I am not able to find out, how this would affect the kids growth – ? When cured with medication ? When cured with Surgery Will there be any restriction to the Kid in doing any physical activities? Will he / she able to do all the physical activities which are done normally by other kids? Please advise.. I am really worried.

As long as the other kidney of the baby is working fine, she will be able to lead a perfectly normal life. It is difficult to predict the outcome as every case responds differently to the treatment.
